Walnut collects state championship

In only their third year as a program, the Walnut Wildcats volleyball squad collected their first state championship on Saturday afternoon in Clinton. Lead by Coach Kelly Hopper, the team won 3 sets over 2 against Puckett. “I’m so proud of the fight that these girls have had all year – they have fought hard during every set and every match,” Hopper told the Daily Corinthian following the win.
