The streak continues for Lady Warriors

Corinth sophomore forward Lauren Beech (9) drives the ball downfield in recent game action against Itawamba AHS as teammate Haley Guare (19) trails the play. The Lady Warriors have been one of the top girls soccer programs in north Mississippi since head coach Cameron Glenn took over a few years ago after a successful stint at Horn Lake. They are currently 10-2 overall and remain unbeaten at 3-0 in Region 1-4A play. As proof of just how dominant the Lady Warriors have been the past five seasons they have posted an overall record of 67-20-1 with a 33-2 record inside division, where they have captured the last three region championships. Corinth also owns a 29-game region win streak. “We’ve already beaten New Albany once this year,” Glenn told his team recently. “If we can do it again and keep winning, the streak might reach 40 and that is a record that might never be touched.” Corinth is off for the holidays and will return to action Tuesday, Jan. 5 when they host division foe Ripley.
