As the football season hits the homestretch the pickings are still good. And this past week proved it.

Well over half the ballots received recorded 10 or more correct picks while seven finished with 12-1 slates, and for the first time in recent memory three entries survived the gamut with no losses.

Teddy Hinton, Mike Hamm, Bobby Harp, Lamar Keith, Tammy Schmitz, Mickey Singleton and Jerry Robertson all of Corinth went 12-1 while Jeff Curlee and Greg Tucker of Corinth, along with Teresa Taylor of Iuka, each went 13-0, causing a three-way tie for the weekly $25 prize.

The tiebreaker was the number of points scored in the Corinth/Ripley contest, won 35-20 by the Warriors, making 55 the magic number. Curlee was close with 60 while Tucker guessed 63. However, Taylor hit the bullseye with a guess of 55.

Congratulations to Teresa Taylor, this week’s Pigskin Picks winner. Games for the upcoming week are included in today’s edition. Make sure entries arrive by 5 p.m. Friday to be eligible for next week’s top honor.
