Henderson, Tenn. — Lucas Russo spent only 24 years on earth but left a lasting legacy not many will ever do if they live to be 100.

On Thursday a special ceremony and dedication of the intramural ball-field at Freed-Hardeman University in Russo’s honor brought hundreds of friends, family and school faculty together to celebrate his life.

Check out a very special edition of Kent’s Corner in the Daily Corinthian weekend print and E-Editions as sports editor Kent Mohundro paints a picture of the life and times of Lucas Russo, beloved by so many of all ages from around the area, complete with photo’s from Thursday’s special field dedication.
