On Thursday, May 20, the Corinth Alcorn County Parks held a dedication ceremony to honor the late Coach Brad Davidson for his contributions to youth baseball.

Brad’s brother Cullen honored him by sponsoring a field in the park’s five field complex. His name is on the scoreboard and behind the score box station for all to see. Brad coached and taught the proper skills of the game to many of our area youth.

His ability to communicate with each individual player at any level set him apart from other coaches. His genuine care and attention to each player built a bond that made him a master at building skills, character, confidence and sportsmanship.

His teachings were life lessons.

The huge crowd that attended Thursday night’s event was an example of Brad’s character and his involvement in this community. He is missed by many but his teachings live on as does his name on the field.
