BOONEVILLE — The Northeast at Mississippi Delta football game scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff Saturday in Moorhead has been moved up a day to Friday with kickoff now set at 12 noon.

The game will remain at MDCC.

Northeast Sports Information Director Blake Long made the announcement Thursday afternoon after athletic directors from both schools decided, in the interest of safety in advance of Hurricane Delta, to make the move.

The Tigers are 1-0 and coming off a season-opening 35-10 home win over Holmes last Thursday while Delta will be playing their first contest of the season. Their season opener at Northwest last Thursday was postponed due to the Rangers being in COVID-19 quarantine.
