CLINTON — The 19th Annual Cornerstone Rehabilitation MAC All-Star Fast Pitch Softball Games will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, and Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Community Bank Park on the Jones College campus at 900 South Court Street in Ellisville. Tickets for the games are $10 per person for general admission seating.

The format for the Fast Pitch All-Star softball games has been changed for 2021. This year’s format will feature junior and senior games and there will be no Rising Stars game.

The following is the schedule for both days:

4 p.m. Game 1, Class 4A/5A/6A Junior All-Stars

6 p.m. Player Introductions & Presentation of State Championship Plaques

6:30 PM Game 1, Class 1A/2A/3A Senior All-Stars

8:30 PM Game 1, Class 4A/5A/6A Senior All-Stars

10 a.m. Game 2, Class 1A/2A/3A Junior All-Stars

12 p.m. noon Game 2, Class 4A/5A/6A Junior All-Stars

2 p.m. Game 2, Class 1A/2A/3A Senior All-Stars

4 p.m. Game 2, Class 4A/5A/6A Senior All-Stars

The Class 1A/2A/3A Junior North team will be led by Andy Richey of Tupelo Christian and Dana Rhea of Kossuth while the Junior South 1A/2A/3A South squad will be coached by Chris White of Seminary and his assistant coach Lauren Blackledge. The Class 4A/5A/6A Junior North team will be guided by Ashleigh Hicks of South Panola and her assistant coach Rachel Kelly while the Junior South 4A/5A/6A South team will be coached by Wendy Hogue of Petal and her assistant coach Shelly Flood.

The Class 1A/2A/3A Senior North squad will be coached by Tammy Young of Senatobia and her assistant coach Kevin Dunigan while the Senior South 1A/2A/3A team will be led by Greg Arnold of Columbia and Byran “Bird” Martin of Salem. The Class 4A/5A/6A Senior North team will be coached by Taylor Taylor of Cleveland Central and assistant coach Caroline Bond while the 4A/5A/6A Senior South squad will be paced by Kyle Long of East Central and his assistant coach Gerald Edmonson.

The All-Star fast pitch softball games feature a North versus South format in two-game series per classifications since a format change in 2006. In the 2019 Class 1A/2A/3A games, the teams split with the North winning 5-0 and the South taking game two 5-2 to keep the overall series tied at 5-5-4. In the 4A/5A/6A games, the teams also split victories with the South winning 4-1 in game one and the North prevailing 7-6 in game two to keep the North series lead at 5-4-5. All-Star rosters are also included with this release.

Kossuth twin sisters Ava and Katie Meeks, of Kossuth, will be on the 1A/2A/3A North Junior roster while Corinth’s Crista Wilson will play for the 4A/5A/6A North Junior squad. Jourdan Mathis, of state 3A champion Booneville, will play for the 1A/2A/3A North Senior team in the two-day event.
