Lady Warriors face old nemesis New Albany
Corinth sophomore forward Mary Grace Porter (17) and the Lady Warriors continue to be highly successful as they work on what would be their fifth straight region championship. But in order for that to happen they must defeat their always tough rival New Albany Friday on the road. The first match went to Corinth as they won 3-2 in penalty kicks after finishing in a 1-1 deadlock at the end of regulation. The Lady Warriors currently sport a 13-3 overall record with a 6-0 Division 1-4A mark. The Warriors are 8-8 overall and 3-3 inside division entering the New Albany game and need to win out and have either Ripley or New Albany lose to North Pontotoc to qualify for the postseason.
