MOORHEAD — The Northeast Mississippi Community College women’s basketball team wrapped up a flawless week with a 76-72 road victory over Mississippi Delta Community College on Thursday, November 11 inside J.T. Hall Coliseum.

The Lady Tigers used a 32-point third quarter to pull away. Northeast (2-2) led by as many as 19 points less than 30 seconds into the fourth quarter.

However, the host Lady Trojans (1-3) nearly returned the favor in the fourth period by outscoring Northeast 23-10. Roderickia Parker paced four double-digit scorers for Mississippi Delta with 16 points.

Calysia Phillips scored 31 points for a second straight game to lead the Lady Tigers. She also had seven steals, six assists and four rebounds to round out her career night.

JaQuasia Dorrough had a double-double for the second game in a row as well. She had 12 points and 15 rebounds to round out a solid week.

Northeast shot 46.5 percent overall as a team. The Lady Tigers forced 21 turnovers and 16 of them were steals.
