Tishomingo County senior Jayla Brown (25) registered a double-double Thursday, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, as she helped lead the Lady Braves to a tougher-than-expected 66-47 win over New Albany in the semifinal round of the Division 1-4A Tournament at Ripley High School. Coach Brian Middleton’s No. 1 (4A) team will face the winner of Thursday’s late girls semifinal contest between Ripley and North Pontotoc at 7 p.m. tonight. Maura Nunley paced TC with 24.
