Former Biggersville football standout Qua Davis has received his second Power-5 offer in less than a week, this one coming from Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell
Davis is a 6’2 210-pound wide receiver who led the Mississippi JUCO ranks in receiving yards and TDs this fall, averaging 116 yards per game with seven touchdowns in the COVID-shortened season.
The Class of 2021 prospect attends Itawamba Community College in Fulton.
Davis also has offers from the Middle Tennessee State University and South Carolina as Gamecocks’ new head coach Shane Beamer offered Davis a scholarship earlier Tuesday morning.
Late Tuesday afternoon, he was offered by Norvell and the Seminoles football program as Davis mentioned defensive assistant Slade Buckley, as well, whose father is a head coach at Jones CC in Mississippi.
The timing of this could be a coincidence, although it’s interesting to see Davis was offered the day after Florida State lost the commitment of IMG Academy wide receiver Malik McClain.
It also comes the evening after FSU offered top JUCO cornerback prospect Jadarrius Perkins, who’s also in Mississippi, and who took note of the Davis offer.
