Corinth tops New Albany, tied for division lead

Corinth starting pitcher Madden Butler fires a pitch early in Thursday evening’s home game against New Albany. The Warriors won 3-1 to improve to 4-1 in division and 13-3 overall. Coach Rob Scarbrough’s team has been someone dominant at times averaging eight runs per game while allowing less than four. Corinth will play at New Albany Saturday to complete the home and away series that was postponed due to rain on Tuesday. They are currently tied with Ripley for the Division 1-4A lead. The league title will be decided next week when the Warriors and Tigers play twice to end the division schedule.
