Corinth hosting Lighthouse Classic Nov. 27, 28

Rising Corinth senior Q Wimsatt (5), shown flushing one against Lindsey Lane (Ala.) during last year’s Lighthouse Classic, returns in 2020-21 as leader for head coach Keith Greene’s Warriors. Corinth fell two points shy of reaching the 4A state semifinals last winter, losing at Greenwood on a last-second shot. Corinth is slotted for a pair of games in this year’s Lighthouse Classic, one coming against Lausanne out of Memphis. Other Alcorn County and regional squads slated for appearances are Kossuth, Alcorn Central, Booneville, Ingomar, Marshall Academy, Tupelo, Pontotoc, Red Bay (Ala), Shoals (Ala) Christian and Fayette Ware among many others. This year’s Lighthouse Classic is scheduled for Nov. 27-28 at Corinth High School. Current capacity per game, due to COVID safety guidelines, is set at 50 percent, which is subject to change.
