Corinth’s baseball team will get some rest this week as they prepare for a Saturday matchup at home against nearby McNairy Central, Tenn. (3-8).

The Warriors moved to 17-3 on the year after Monday’s 10-2 victory over Eupora. Corinth had eight hits and exploded for four runs in the third inning and three more runs in the fourth to take a 9-2 lead.

J. Taylor and W. Verdung paced the Corinth attack with two hits each, while W. Crawford, C. Clark, B. Mills and J. Huggins all had hits, with Clark hitting a double. Taylor scored three of the runs.

M. Butler, J. Taylor and C. Parker all saw action on the mound, giving up just six hits in seven total innings of work with Butler picking up the win.
