Booneville gains early lead, defeats Kossuth

Booneville's Jackson McCoy follows through on a 2-RBI single in the sixth that put the Blue Devils ahead 7-2 in game one of the best-of-three 3A playoff series against visiting Kossuth. The Aggies made it interesting late, scoring three in the seventh, but Booneville starter - and winning pitcher - Hayden Donahue finished the job and closed the door on the victory. The Blue Devils are now 21-10 while the Aggies are 19-11. Game two is set for Friday at 7 p.m. at Kossuth.
