In a busy day filled with softball, Kossuth picked up a pair of wins at the Corinth Tournament, marking their fourth straight victory.
The Lady Aggies won 5-3 against Houston and 10-2 against Muscle Shoals.
Against Houston, Kossuth pounded out 12 hits, with two each from Macie Starling, Ella Jobe and Emily Bradley.
Chloe Clement allowed just an earned run on six hits and struck out four, walking none.
Maddie Mask was the winning pitcher against Muscle Shoals, allowing four hits, striking out seven and walking none.
Hadley James went 2 for 4 with four RBIs, and Annabelle Marlar hit a double. Victoria Fields and Cailyn Johnson also had two hits apiece.
Alcorn Central also picked up two wins at the tournament, 4-1 against Pine Grove and 6-5 against Muscle Shoals. Sydnee Norman picked up the win in the circle against Muscle with six strikeouts. AB Parrish drove in a pair of runs as the Lady Bears hit four doubles in the game. Norman hit a triple.
Mady Cornelius picked up the win against Pine Grove, going five innings, allowing three hits and striking out four.
Host Corinth started out the day with a 9-0 win against Ripley. Kinley Pittman allowed just two hits in five innings and struck out nine in the shutout.
Pittman also hit a double, one of her two hits, while Lainey Briggs added a triple. Addyson Moore, Alyssa Settlemires and Kaylea Grace had two hits each as well.
They dropped a 2-0 decision to Demopolis on Friday night with Pittman striking out nine in the loss and having the only hit.
