Crossroads Regional Park recently kicked off summer tournament action.

Last weekend brought the Big Time Sports Bustin’ Loose Classic to the park with 36 teams from throughout the southeast.

In the 7U Coach Pitch Division the McNairy Mafia from McNairy County took home the championship while in the 8U Coach Pitch Divison the TC Tusk from Tuscaloosa, Ala. won the title.

In the 9U Division Sandlot Baseball from Saltillo brought home the gold while in the 10U Division the Eagles from Saltillo won the gold rings.

“Our hometown Corinth Cannons got second place in this division, getting rings as well,” noted Crossroads Regional Park Athletic Director Chris Edmondson.

Another local team in the division, the 10U Corinth Cubs had a great showing but fell just a little short, said Edmondson.

The Memphis Travelers (Royal) won the 11U division.

“The Hometown 12u Corinth Cubs flew through this division unscathed, while beating the Pontotoc Hitsquad in the finals 26-0. Several Cubs players enjoyed hitting their first home runs of their young careers,” said Edmondson.

In the 14U division, the Lafayette Athletics from Oxford took home the championship.

This weekend brought more tournament action to the park with the USFA 8U and 10U Quad State Tournament drawing 26 teams from Mississippi, Tennnesse and Alabama including the 8U Corinth Pink Sox and the 8U and 10U Lady Wreckers of Booneville.
