Biggersville stayed undefeated in division play on Tuesday night, moving past Jumpertown in both games with ease.
The Lions improved to 11-1 on the season and 5-0 in Division 1-1A play behind a big night from their starting lineup with three in double figures in 84-32.
Brooks Seago led the way with 18 points, including five three-pointers in the first half. Jathan Hatch and Tre Gunn had 16 points each, including some slam dunks from both. Dylan Rowsey and Braxton Ross each had eight points each, and Zialis Blackmon came off the bench to add another eight points each.
The Lady Lions dominated in their division matchup as well, also getting plenty of bench contributions.
Marlee McCalister had a game-high 14 points with Asia Stafford adding eight points and Hannah Seago and Presleigh Rhodes adding seven points each.
Alcorn Central dominates contest against Hatley
Alcorn Central grabbed a pair of big home wins against Hatley, 63-29 in the girls’ game and 60-48 in the boys’ game.
The girls pulled away in the third quarter with the boys doing the same in the second quarter, and both teams kept their foot on the gas down the stretch.
In the girls’ game, Branna Quinn and Carlie Barnes hit big three-pointers in the first quarter, staking Central to a 10-7 lead.
Alcorn Central led by as many as nine in the second quarter, but Hatley was able to cut that to six at the half at 23-17. The Lady Bears came out firing early in the third quarter, going on a 9-0 run, five of that from Olivia Walker, to go up by 16 points. After the lead was trimmed to ten, Central ended the third with another big run and carried that over early into the fourth to put the game away. Darbie Oaks, Emma Waddell, Barnes, Walker and Gracie Rhodes contributed in the run.
Quinn paced the Lady Bears with 12 points, followed by 11 from Walker. Ellie Pellizzer scored nine off the bench.
The Bears rode another big night from Andrew Williams, who finished with 22 points, in the win. Landon Powers added another 16 points.
Williams hit a trio of three-pointers in the second quarter, and Timmy Mauney added another one as the Bears pulled away to a double-digit lead at 35-21 against the Tigers.
After Hatley cut the lead to nearly single digits in the third, Owen Depoyster’s layup ended the quarter with a 50-34 lead. Williams, Powers and Depoyster all helped put the game away in the fourth quarter.
McNairy Central sweeps matchups with Kossuth
The home team took both games as McNairy Central swept Kossuth with a 56-45 win for the Lady Bobcats and a 73-58 victory for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats put all five starters in double figures and stretched what was a one-point lead at the end of the first into a 14-point advantage at the half. They outscored Kossuth 32-21 in the second half as well.
Tanner Kirk led five Bobcats in double figures with 18 points, closely followed by Nate Moore with 17 points. Jabari Melton finished with 15 points, and Ethan Johnston and Simon Whitaker chipped in 10 points each. Jack Johnson’s 11 points were tops for Kossuth in the loss, and Jack Hancock added 10 points.
In the girls’ game, Kossuth cut the lead to 45-38 early in the fourth quarter, then struggled to score down the stretch and close the gap.
McNairy Central was paced by Bailee Shelton’s 18 points, and Maddie Kirk was also in double figures with 14 points.
Emma Arthur led Kossuth with 13 points, while Anna Greene had 10 and Dacy Kate Marsh added nine for the Lady Aggies.

(G) Mooreville 54, Tishomingo County 52
The Lady Braves’ 17-game winning streak came to an end with their first loss in division play on the road at Mooreville. Reese Moore scored 20 points in the loss, while Hallie Durham added 12 and Margaret Claire Riley finished with 10 points.
(G) Walnut 80, Potts Camp 79
Missing leading scorer Madi Kate Vuncannon, the Lady Wildcats picked up a big win on the road. Allie Jackson paced Walnut with 20 points. Madison Weeks wasn’t far behind with 16 points, and Henlee Sisco and Kaylee Estes were also in double figures with 13 and 11 points respectively.

Drew Jackson’s 25 points led the Wildcats to a big road win as well. Ky Wilbanks added 19 points, and Skylan Lipsey finished with 15 points in the win.

The Warriors took the close division loss at home, led by Cayden Harris with 14 points. Broderick Alexander added 11 points.

Zakiah Gwyn paced the Lady Warriors with 11 points. Abigail Patterson scored seven off the bench.
(B) Mooreville 63, Tishomingo County 45
Ayden McDeavitt paced the Braves with 15 points in the division loss.
(G) Wheeler 39, Thrasher 29
Brookelyn Roberts scored 11 points to lead the way in the loss for the Lady Rebels.

Tristan Frank had 10 points for the Rebels.

(B) Tishomingo County 7, Senatobia 1The Braves secured a season sweep of Senatobia with their division win at home. Six different Braves found the back of the net, led by two goals from Brandon Valdez. Cooper Tapp, Sam Daniel, Will Methvin, Kylen Rutland and Jack McAfee also scored goals in the win. The Lady Braves dropped their game, 3-0, to Senatobia.
