To the Editor:

I believe that masks work to keep us and others safe during these unusual times. I see many people in public places that choose not to wear masks.

I visited with one of my clients recently. He employs about 90 people. In early March when the Covid19 virus began to spread, he issued a mandatory mask order for every employee. About 60 percent of his employees work outside with customers over a five-county area.

This CEO reported that since early March, the company has had three positive cases. All three of these cases were among employees who work outside over his five-county area. Each case was contracted away from work, either at a birthday party, church service, or family reunion. The CEO said to me, “If someone does not believe that masks work, just have them call me.”

Keep your distance, wear your mask, wash your hands, use sanitizer and stay safe and well.
