WALNUT — Services for Joshua Matthew Mercer, 39, were held Monday graveside at Hatchie Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Mercer died Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. Born in Tupelo on Sept. 16, 1981, he ran a bicycle repair shop and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Diane Null Mercer, and his grandparents, Wilbert “Love” Null and Lloyd & Edith Mercer.

Survivors are his brothers, Brian Mercer of Walnut, Brandon Mercer of Kossuth, John Mercer of Oakland, Tenn., Steven Sexton of Walnut and Kyle Mercer of Walnut; sisters Tanya Hunt of Walnut, Misty Marlar of Wesley Chapel, Fla., and Denise Sanders of Tupelo; and grandmothers Mary Harwick of Mantachie and Vida Null of Fulton.

Bro. Larry Dollar and Bro. Titus Mathis officiated the service.

Corinthian Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
