SHILOH, Tenn. - The body of a man who drove his vehicle into the Tennessee River at Hagy’s Catfish Hotel Restaurant has been found.
Hardin County Fire Chief Melvin Martin told the Daily Corinthain the body and vehicle were recovered from the river early Saturday afternoon
According to reports, witnesses at Hagy’s saw a person drive a vehicle through the restaurant parking lot and into the river on Friday evening. The person was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed.
Crews searched for the body on Saturday using boats and divers were preparing to search the waters. Helicopters were also used in the search Friday night.
The Tennesse Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
