Corinth police are seeking leads on a pair of suspects who shot into a North Corinth residence Saturday night, hitting two individuals inside the house.

Capt. Dell Green identified the victims as Cortney Eaton, 25, of County Road 109, Rienzi, and Dewanna Patterson, 43, of County Road 418, Corinth. Patterson was treated at Regional One in Memphis and has since been released. Eaton was still hospitalized at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo Tuesday afternoon.

At 8:17 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call of a shooting at 1928 North Parkway Street and found that two individuals had been shot.

Based on statements from residents of the area, “It was determined two black males were seen exiting a vehicle, approaching the house, discharging handguns into the house and running back to the vehicle and fleeing the scene,” said Green.

It appears the shooting is related to a prior altercation between the occupants of the house and some other individuals, he said.

The suspects are described as two black males driving a dark-colored, older model sedan. Any neighbors who may have seen the suspects in the area around the time of the shooting or who may have surveillance footage that captured the suspects are encouraged to contact the police department.

To report information about this case, contact the Corinth Police Department at 286-3377.
