Deputies nabbed a couple of suspects in a Gift community burglary on Thursday after a neighbor arrived home during the crime, giving the suspects a scare.

Sheriff Ben Caldwell said a third suspect, identified as James Tyler Young, 26, has not been captured, and anyone who has information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.

Those arrested are Charles John “C.J.” Bray, 31, of Corinth, and Chasity N. Alley, 19, of Guys, Tenn. Charges were pending early Friday.

The situation unfolded about 2:15 p.m. at a residence on County Road 753. The suspects were startled when a neighbor arrived home. The sheriff said as the individuals attempted to leave the residence, their vehicle became stuck, and two males and a female fled on foot.

Deputies who responded to the call found that individuals had broken into the home and loaded items into a vehicle.

Caldwell said the deputies, with the assistance of the public, located Bray and Alley in the area at about 5:30 p.m.
