The Farmington Volunteer Fire Department Trunk or Treat will headline a flurry of local fall festivals and Halloween celebrations in the Crossroads area.

The annual event in Farmington welcomes around 800 participants who can get candy from as many as 10 local organizations and businesses. It starts at 6 p.m. Halloween (Monday) and lasts until 8 p.m. The fire station is located at 6 County Road 106, behind the Farmington City Hall.

A native of Booneville, Joel graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a BS degree in journalism and a double emphasis on news writing/editorial and photojournalism. He has been employed by the Daily Corinthian since 2016.
