Corinth police have made arrests in three separate drug possession cases.
Rickey Leatherwood, 63, was arrested December 10 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine along with several misdemeanor traffic violations following a traffic stop on Caroline Street. The alleged drug was found in a pack of cigarettes behind the passenger seat during the stop. The felony case will be presented to the next Alcorn County grand jury.
In a separate, unrelated case, Montrel Jones, 20, was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine during a safety checkpoint after officers discovered he was wanted on an unrelated warrant. The felony case will be presented to the next Alcorn County grand jury.
Also in a separate, unrelated case, Christopher Lee Jones, 39, was charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) as well as several misdemeanor charges on December 9 following a traffic stop at West Harris apartments. The felony cases will be presented to the next Alcorn County grand jury.
