A fundraising campaign has begun to help the recovery of Noah Wiley Knight, an Alcorn Central High School senior who was severely injured in a four-wheeler wreck last week.

As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, the 17-year-old continues to be hospitalized at Regional One in Memphis and is in critical condition, according to a hospital representative.

A GoFundMe campaign called “Noah Knight medical expenses” is gathering funds to help with his recovery and has already collected more than $4,000.

Capt. Ben Gann said the Corinth Police Department responded to the scene of the accident on Shaw Road after it was reported at 2:49 p.m. Thursday. A resident told police she heard a loud crash and looked out to see that an ATV had collided with a tree. A helicopter landed in the area and Knight was flown to Regional One Health in Memphis.

According to the police report, Knight was heading north on Shaw Road when the four-wheeler went off the left side and hit the tree. He is a resident of Henderson Road, which is in the same area.

Friends of the family are reporting Knight has very serious head injuries, among other injuries.
