Mustache the Band will headline this year’s Slugburger Festival.
“They used to come a lot,” said Corinth Main Street Director Angela Avent. “This year, they are back by popular demand.”
Mustache closes out the festival after live music from the Dixie Mafia at Trailhead Yard, moved from the CARE Garden in downtown.
“We have been having concerts [at Trailhead Yard],” said Avent. “We are excited about the new location. It actually started last year around Slugburger time, but when it opened this year and it was ready to go, we thought it would be perfect.”
The Saturday night, July 8 concert will have a rented stage.
“The stage there now is not big enough,” said Avent. “We hope to have one that can hold an event like this.”
The 36th Annual Slugburger Festival will open Thursday, July 6. Mississippi Delta Shows will run the carnival, which opens in the Clocktower parking lot at Cruise and Fillmore streets.
“They are the last home-owned carnival in the state,” said Avent.
The Friday night, July 7 music line up will start with Hopeless, Bonfire Orchestra and close out with A Band of Jones.
Saturday morning, July 8 starts with vendors on the Courthouse Square and the Slugburger Festival Cruise-In.
The festival is the largest and longest running in the state.
