Enjoy the scenic beauty of America’s best-preserved battlefield at the 13th annual Shiloh “Run in the Park”.

The Rotary Club of Savannah invites runners to sign up and run virtually this year. Participants will be able to run any day in October and choose location and distance. All participants will receive a T-shirt which will be mailed to them.

“This traditional 4 miler at Shiloh National Military Park in beautiful Hardin County, Tennessee had to be rescheduled from our springtime event due to COVID”, said Club Run Chairman Ashley Dennis. “So now it is the perfect fall run for you and your family to get out and explore Shiloh.”

Young and old alike can walk, jog, or run down historic lanes lined with cannons, monuments and split-rail fences. The setting combines the historic attractions of Shiloh Battlefield along trails and roads mostly on asphalt. This year, you can even stay home and run on your treadmill….just dream about Shiloh all while supporting Rotary youth scholarships.

Pre-registration fee for the run is $20; forms can be found online at www.facebook.com/RotaryClub SavannahTN Savannah Rotary or by emailing savannah rotaryrun@gmail.com or by visiting the Tennessee River Museum in downtown Savannah.

“Runners from the tri-state area and all surrounding counties have already begun signing up to run” shared Dennis, “We invite all groups and individuals to join us … whether you are a runner, a walker, or a civil war history buff, you’ll love this event!”

All proceeds go to the Savannah Rotary / Rotary International, which benefits high school scholarships, and several international endeavors including PolioPLus (a program launched by Rotary International to eradicate polio from the earth). A full break down of these programs can be found at www.facebook.com/RotaryClub SavannahTN.
