Authorities are seeking help from the public to identify those responsible for a body found burned in a vehicle in Tishomingo County.

The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a burned vehicle on County Road 388 in the Sharps Bottom area in the north part of the county on April 28. Human remains were discovered inside the burned vehicle. The remains have been sent to the state crime lab and investigators are awaiting an official identification.

Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi will pay up to $1,000 cash for a tip leading to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS(8477). Tips can also be submitted by downloading the P3 Tip App for mobile phones. All tips are anonymous.
