Prentiss County deputies and investigators assisted in the capture of a Baldwyn man wanted for murder.

Gary Scotty McDonald was captured late last Friday evening in the area of Highway 366 and Prentiss County Road 5321.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar said a resident reported seeing him and law enforcement from multiple jurisdictions flooded into the area. A Prentiss County deputy spotted him run back into the woods and the department’s drone and dogs were used to help track the suspect.

He was later captured without incident by the US Marshal Service.

McDonald, 48, is charged in the death of Coner Noel Kyle, 26, of Baldwyn who was found shot to death at Adams Auto Sales in Baldwyn around 7:45 a.m. on July 3.
