Officials investigated another highway pedestrian fatality over the weekend in Alcorn County.

Coroner Jay Jones identified the deceased as Billy Keith “B.J.” Tennyson Jr., 43. It did not appear that the man had a permanent address.

It happened about 11:43 Saturday night as Tennyson was walking on Highway 45 South just past County Road 514 in Biggersville, said Jones. Tennyson was hit by a pickup truck.

The man wore dark clothing as he walked on the highway at night, similar to the pedestrian fatality that happened on Highway 72 in Corinth on April 15.

The pedestrian collision was investigated by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
