Oakland Baptist Church is joining with Chick-fil-A to offer a unique daycamp experience for local youth.
The WinShape Camp for students who have completed grades K-8 will be hosted by Oakland at Corinth Elementary School June 7 through 11.
Corinth is among more than 100 cities across the country chosen to host the camp, said Oakland’s Bro. Dyer Harbor.
The camp brings professionally-trained staff to lead students in a wide variety of activities including sports, painting, crafts, theater and more. The activities are designed to provide something for everyone and to give kids an opportunity to have fun and learn lifelong skills. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided each day through the school.
The WinShape camp will be held Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon with a family fun day wrapping up with a free picnic lunch catered by Chick-fil-A.
WinShape camps were founded by Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy and are sponsored by the company.
“We are thrilled to be bringing WinShape Camps for Communities to this area,” says Director Stephen Moore. “We are so excited to partner with Oakland and Chick-fil-A by providing this top-notch day camp experience. We believe this is a camp for the whole community, and we want these children to experience next-level fun, friendships and high-energy activities – all the while growing in their faith.”
A maximum of 275 spots are available and they’re filling up fast said Harbor.
