An award winning Bluegrass band is making its way to the Crossroads on Thursday night. No Time Flatt will be performing at "Pickin' on the Square" at the Bishop Center.
The event begins at 7 p.m. and local pickers will play first.
"It's going to be a great show with some wonderful musicians," said Patricia Depoyster Nachbar, founder of "Pickin' on the Square."
Nachbar founded the organization along with her friend Bobby Franks in 2003.
"We wanted people to feel free to express their musical talent, so we decided to set up a time every week for people to go to the courthouse and play music on the square," said Nachbar.
According to the Corinth native, the event became a huge success and many people would come to watch the musicians perform.
Since then several different bands have performed on the square, she said.
No Time Flatt is a three-time winner of the Tennessee Music Awards, where they recently won 2019 Entertainer of the Year. The band has played at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., Dollywood, which is located in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and many other places.
Band members consist of Steve Moore (banjo, guitar, vocals), Kevin Wright (guitar, vocals), Patrick Cupples (bass, vocals), Kevin Keen (mandolin) and Becky Weaver (fiddle, vocals).
The event is free to attend. The Bishop Center is located at 1300 Washington St. "Pickin' on the Square" is usually held on the grounds of the Alcorn County Courthouse in warmer weather, but moves to the center during the colder months.
