There is a new face at the Daily Corinthian.

Quinten Brasher has been added to the full-time news staff as a staff writer and photographer.

The 27-year-old graduate of Middle Tennessee State University earned a B.S. degree in journalism in May 2019. He began his new role at the local newspaper on Dec. 27.

Brasher will be writing news and feature stories for the Daily Corinthian and Crossroads Magazine, including coverage of local government board meetings. He is also a staff photographer.

“I look forward to the opportunity and the challenge,” said Brasher, a 2013 graduate of Adamsville Jr./Sr. High School. “I have always loved writing and sharing stories, and getting the chance to do that every day is a blessing.”

The son of Greg and Kelly Brasher of Adamsville, Tenn., he earned an Associate of Science Degree from Jackson State Community College.

He previously served as an intern reporter for the Lebanon (Tenn.) Democrat and was the content creator for The Odyssey in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

“We are happy to have Quinten as a member of our news team,” said Daily Corinthian/Crossroads Magazine Editor Mark Boehler. “He is a great talent and I’m confident readers will come to appreciate his writing ability.”

Brasher attends Unity Baptist Church in Ramer, Tenn. His hobbies include refinishing old furniture, song writing, graphic design and playing the guitar.
