War Wizard will be one of over six monster trucks at this weekend’s Monster Trucks Unleashed event at the Crossroads Arena.

It’s been over a year since monster trucks roared into the Crossroads area.

That changes this weekend when the two-night Monster Trucks Unleashed event takes over the Crossroads Arena. Set for Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., the event will feature over six monster trucks, a monster truck ride truck and UTV Racing.

Normally held each spring, arena Events Manager Neil Cockrell said the pandemic has kept the popular monster truck events from being held at the arena.

“The pandemic forced us to delay our dirt events, but thankfully we are now ready to welcome them back,” Cockrell told the Daily Corinthian. “It’s amazing how popular dirt events are in our community. We have had so many calls and messages asking when we were having a monster truck event again. Fortunately, we felt like fall would be a perfect time.”

Cockrell said monster truck events are popular because they are perfect outings for the entire family. People will also have the opportunity to ride in an actual monster truck.

“It’s always fun to watch kids and adults alike be in awe of the size and power of these trucks,” he added.

UTV Racing will share the spotlight.

Also known as quad wars, UTV Racing is competitive 4 wheeler racing.

“Multiple 4 wheelers race against each other through different obstacles to see who reaches the finish line first,” said Cockrell. “This will be the first UTV Racing held at the area and we are excited. I’ve personally never seen it, I can’t wait to see what will happen.”

Attendees can purchase tickets in advance and save $5 per ticket. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets can be purchased at cross roadsarena.com or at the arena box office.

Other upcoming arena events include:

A late November concert will feature country legends Diamond Rio.

Set for Saturday, Nov. 27, the concert will include special guests The Kentucky Headhunters, Hank Williams IV and Chance Moore. Tickets start at $49.

The Corinth Comic Con will return to the Crossroads Arena in January.

Attendees will enjoy vendors, video game and card gaming tournaments, special celebrity guests, cosplay contests and other fun family-friendly activities. Set for Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, tickets are $7.

A concert featuring John Michael Montgomery with special guests McBride & The Ride and Bryan Moffett was recently announced for Feb. 12, 2022.
