Lonnie Lee

A man already serving a life sentence was handed an additional 30-year sentence for sexual battery in Alcorn County Circuit Court on Monday.

Lonnie Lavis Lee, 40, entered a guilty plea on the charge before Circuit Judge Kelly Mims. Lee will not be eligible for parole or early release.

District Attorney John Weddle said Lee was previously convicted on May 1, 2019, by a Tishomingo County jury for felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily harm. That case led to a life sentence, with Lee beginning his incarceration in June 2019. He has been housed in Alcorn County.

The case leading to Monday’s plea was investigated by Corinth Police Department Detective Heather Russell with Assistant District Attorneys Kyle Robbins and Megan French prosecuting the case.
