A local man entered guilty pleas in a case involving fondling and lewd photographing.

In Alcorn County Circuit Court, Vance Antonio Ladewig, 35, entered an open plea of guilty to a four-count indictment including two counts of fondling and two counts of secretly photographing for lewd purposes (under 16), according to court records.

On one count of fondling, the judge imposed a 14-year sentence in custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without the possibility of early release, along with a $1,000 fine. He must register as a sex offender and have no contact with the victim.

On the second count of fondling, the judge imposed a suspended 15-year sentence with five years of probation. The judge handed down suspended 10-year sentences on the two counts of secretly photographing for lewd purposes.

The case was among those completed during the latest court term, which wrapped up last week. Other sentences handed down on guilty pleas include:

n James Tyler Young, 26, burglary of a vehicle – Seven years to serve. He received an additional year to serve with five years of probation in a separate indictment for burglary of a vehicle and a suspended five-year sentence in another separate indictment for grand larceny. Each includes a $500 fine, and restitution among the three sentences totals $2,200.

n April Kayla Parrott, 26, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) – Suspended 20-year sentence with five years of probation and a $1,000 fine. She also pleaded guilty to a separate indictment of possession of methamphetamine and received a suspended three-year sentence.

n Steelie S. Mincy, 22, aggravated DUI – Two years in the house arrest program with five years of probation in lieu of 25 years in MDOC custody. The sentence includes a $1,000 fine.

n Amanda Hicks, 41, possession of methamphetamine – Suspended three-year sentence with three-year probation and a $1,000 fine

n Luke Gregory Calton, 35, taking a motor vehicle – Suspended five-year sentence with four years of probation and a $1,000 fine. In a separate indictment for possession of methamphetamine, he received a suspended three-year sentence with a year of probation and a $1,000 fine.

n Amelia L. Roberson, 20, two indictments for possession of methamphetamine – Suspended three-year sentence on each with a total of five years of probation and a $1,000 fine on each.

n Jacob Moss, 24, taking a motor vehicle – Suspended five-year sentence with five years of probation and a $1,000 fine

n Antonette Hodel, 42, burglary of a building – Suspended seven-year sentence with two years of probation and a $1,000 fine. She also pleaded guilty to child endangerment and received a suspended five-year sentence with three years of probation and a $1,000 fine.

n Cindy Lynn Collins, two indictments for possession of methamphetamine – Suspended 20-year sentence in one indictment and suspended three-year sentence in the other with a $500 fine in each. She will have five years of probation.
