Harper Square has seen significant construction recently as another new tenant prepares to open.

South Star Retail Holdings recently reached a lease agreement with Dunham’s Sports to occupy a 38,000-square-foot store space alongside Five Below.

The store will open “in the near future” after work on the building is complete, according to developer Harley White.

“We are performing a complete renovation of the interior and exterior of the building,” he said.

Dunham’s is one of the largest full-line sporting goods chains in the U.S., currently with more than 240 stores.

“We believe that Dunham’s will be an excellent addition to the great lineup of best-in-class retailers already operating at Harper Square and a benefit to the Corinth community,” said White.

Dunham’s offers a full line of traditional sporting goods and athletic equipment. Recently opened stores in the chain have included expanded footwear and apparel departments; a large hunt, fish, camp and water sports area; a broad selection of fitness equipment; an expanded selection of equipment for all team sports, from youth through adult; a large golf department; a broad selection of indoor and outdoor games; go-carts and mini-bikes; work wear; denim; and hydration.

Featured brands include Under Armour, Carhartt, Yeti, Hydro Flask and Levi’s.

The business began as Dunham’s Bait & Tackle in 1937 and is often found in secondary and tertiary markets.

Since changing hands about six years ago, Harper Square has become home to Hobby Lobby, Aldi, Marshalls and Five Below, along with relocating Little Caesars to a freestanding building.
