The Corinth Police Department continues to seek leads in the case of a fatal Dec. 26 shooting.

Police Chief Ralph Dance said investigators are receiving some information but nothing that has led to an arrest in the shooting death of Ryan Thorne, 26, of 1500 Bunch Street.

Thorne was an employee of the Vicari restaurant in downtown Corinth and had served in the military. Funeral arrangements are pending with Ludlam Funeral Home of Iuka.

Dance again encouraged anyone who may have seen something or has information about the case to contact the police department.

The shooting happened about 6:25 p.m. in the driveway area of the residence of Thorne, who was hit once in the chest.

After he was shot, Thorne placed a call to a friend and sat down in his doorway waiting on the friend to pick him up and take him to the hospital. He died a short time later at Magnolia Regional Health Center. The police department responded to the hospital after a shooting victim was reported.

With no witnesses or statement from the victim, the investigation has had little to go on thus far.
