Prentiss County Supervisors approved a series of ad valorem tax exemptions for local industries during a brief first of the month meeting on Monday.

The board voted to approve tax exemptions for Marathon Cheese Corporation, ProVia, Speckle Bellies Clothing Company, Custom Engineered Wheels, Sutter Street Manufacturing, Southern Diversified Industries, South Central Polymers, Swift Prepared Foods (formerly Plumrose), Caterpillar, ACCO Brands, Marietta Wood Supply and North American Pipe.

The board also recognized the Booneville High School softball and baseball teams for their recent state champions.

The next regular board meeting will June 22 at 10 a.m., rescheduled from the normal third Wednesday of the month date due to board members traveling to the annual statewide supervisors convention on the normal date.
