The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department has made several felony arrests in recent days.
Among those arrested, all in separate, unrelated cases, are:
Devon Ramon Moore, 26, of Saltillo, charged with possession of a controlled substance along with other misdemeanor charges. Bond was set on the felony by Justice Court Judge Trent Moore at $10,000. The suspect was arrested Sunday, April 23 after Deputy Ridge Lawson responded to a report of a possible shoplifter or suspicious activity at the Dollar General in Jumpertown. North Mississippi Narcotics Unit Agent Taylor Walker will present the case to the county grand jury.
Jeremy Ryan Arnold, 40, of Wheeler, charged with receiving stolen property. Bond was set at $10,000. He was arrested April 21 after the sheriff’s department took a report of a John Deere mower stolen from County Road 5110 in the Wheeler area. Investigators Torie Jumper and Jason Chism recovered the mower and returned it to the owner. The case will be presented to the next county grand jury. Deputy Dennis Peeks assisted in the investigation.
Carissa Moore, 37, of Booneville charged with five counts of felony bad checks. Bond was set at $10,000. She is accused of passing several bad checks at the Marietta Grocery Store. Investigators Torie Jumper and Jason Chism are in charge of the case and will present it to the next county grand jury.
