Garry D. Waddle

Garry D. Waddle passed away Monday, May 3, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born October 13, 1947, in Tupelo to Maureen Spencer Waddle and Columbus Waddle who both preceded him in death.

Garry spent his entire working career in various sales and management positions associated with the automobile industry, primarily in Tupelo and other north Mississippi locations. He was an avid Mississippi State athletics fan and followed the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.

He was a member of Hope Church in Tupelo. Garry is survived by two sons, Drew and Austin, and two nephews, and two nieces.

A graveside service was held for family and friends Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 5 p.m. at Walker’s Bridge in Itawamba County.

Ricky Joe Flanagan

Ricky Joe Flanagan, 59, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at his home in Cairo.

He retired from TVA. He was a member of Fairview Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his four-wheeler, going out to eat, going to church, watching Westerns and spending time with his grandson, Presley, and his dog, Dallas. He was a member of the Cairo Fire Department and the IBEW Union.

Services were 2 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Fairview Church of God with Bro. Jesse Hisaw and Bro. Josh Christian officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Church of God Cemetery.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paula Ann Boone Flanagan of Cairo; his daughter, Patricia Lambert of Pisgah; his brother, Ray Flanagan (Linda) of Cairo; his sisters, Earlene Barnes (Stanley) of Marietta, Linnie Lambert (Bill) of Cairo and Sue Hunt (Jack) of Cairo and his grandson, Presley Lambert of Pisgah.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Flanagan; his parents, Grady and Faye Flanagan, and his grandparents, Luther and Carbie Belue & Sam and Linnie Flanagan.

Pallbearers were Tim Lambert, Brandon Lambert, Josh Arnold, Dalton Arnold, Paul Boone, and Jimmy Studdard.

Presley Lambert served as honorary pallbearer.

Donald Wayne Robinson

BALDWYN — Donald Wayne “DW” Robinson, 82, passed on Wednesday, May 05, 2021, at his home.

He was a project superintendent for Ivey Mechanical, C S Poole, and Lee Company. He enjoyed horses, fast boats, and classic cars. He was instrumental in the construction of many buildings and he was so proud to be part of Bridgestone Arena, FedEx World Headquarters, Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Veterans Hospital in Nashville, Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel in Nashville. He was a member of Parker Chapel Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Douglas Kitchens officiating. Burial was in East Mount Zion Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Guin Robinson of Baldwyn; daughter, Kathy Grisham of Smyrna, Tenn.; grandchild, Jessica Lavender (Nick) of Nolensville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Layla and Annabel Lavender; special cousin, Mike Scott; his horse Buddy; host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eura Voyles Robinson; his in-laws, Price and Eupal Barnes Guin.

Pallbearers were Mike Scott, Billy Smith, Coy Voyles, Bernice Voyles, Ricky Voyles, Nick Lavender, Joe Roberts, Eddie Scott, Chance Hughes, and Shane Hughes.

Terry Wayne Gray

Terry Wayne Gray, 68, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021.

He was born November 11, 1952, to Olen Clifton Gray, Sr. and Gracie Levell Harris Gray. Terry loved riding his moped and going to Crow’s Store. He liked to draw and liked watching airplanes. He loved Elvis Presley and he really loved his dog, Digger.

Services were held Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 11 a.m., with Bro. Tony Crow officiating. Burial was in the Zion Rest Cemetery.

He is survived by his brother, Olen Clifton Gray, Jr. (fiancé, Susie Lauderdale) of New Site; sisters, Dorothy Willis (William) of Baldwyn, Virginia Ann Cole of Booneville, Nellie Ashby of Athens, Ala., Pam Yates of New Hope; and a host of nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, James Aaron Cole and Jerry Ashby.

Pallbearers were Bill Willis, Jim Cole, Ronnie Sappington, Ryan Gray, Don Hall, and Levi Yates.

Shelton Ray Godsey

Shelton Ray Godsey, 81, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Magnolia Regional Health Center.

He was born November 5, 1939, to Alex M. Godsey and Ida Rayburn Godsey. He served in the United States Army National Guard. Mr. Godsey loved to hunt, fish, gardening, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. James Godsey, Bro. Johnny Bridges and Bro. Roy Joshlin officiating. A graveside service with Military Honors followed at the Booneville Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Horn Godsey; five sons, Sammy Godsey (Mary) of Sherwood, Ark., Randy Godsey (Melissa) of Rienzi, Paul Godsey (Wanda) of Booneville, Perry Godsey (Beth) of Corinth and Barry Godsey of Rienzi; three daughters, Dianne Harrison (Gary) of Booneville, Nina Cannon of Booneville, and Sarah Hiu (Howard) of Southaven, twenty grandchildren; and thirty-five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children and first wife, Frances Lee Godsey; three brothers; four sisters; three grandchildren and one stepdaughter.

Pallbearers were: Matthew Godsey, Scott Godsey, Jeremy Godsey, Tyler Godsey, Justin Godsey and Gabriel Jones. Honorary Pallbearers were Timothy Godsey, Curtis Godsey, Jacob Dearman, Shane Harrison, Jason Mcclellan, Kenny Harrison and Jammie Mcclellan.

Barbara Jean Livingston

Barbara Jean Livingston, 78, of Booneville, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

She attended the Liberty Church of Christ, loved reading, crossword puzzles, researching genealogy and working in her flowers.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Monday, May 10, 2021, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. David Conley officiating and Ronnie Sweeney delivered the eulogy. Burial was in the Zion Rest Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Larry Howell and his wife Angie; one granddaughter, Kristen Howell; one brother, Kenny Saylors; one niece, Vicky Saylors; one nephew, Vincent Saylors and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vandiver “Van” and Marie Saylors; her first husband, Roy Howell; her second husband, David Livingston; one brother, Buddy Saylors and one nephew, Vandy Saylors.

George Hoyt ‘Judge’ Wade

A graveside service for George Hoyt “Judge” Wade, 79, of Burnsville was held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Jacinto Church of Christ Cemetery at 3 p.m. Minister Scott Baggett and Minister Danny Rogers officiated the service.

Hoyt passed away after a brief illness at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, on Friday, May 7, 2021.

Born July 27, 1941, in Holcut. He was a member of Jacinto Church of Christ and a retired truck driver. Hoyt is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Wade of Burnsville; daughters, Charlotte Morris and husband Steve of Iuka, and Kristi Baggett and husband Scott of Fayette, Ala., son, Tim Wade and wife Karen of Saltillo; seven grandchildren, Jade Newcomb, Haley Nikolaj and husband Niko, Jesse Morris, Lorraine Wade, Clara Baggett, Greta Wade and Camille Wade; one great-grandchild; brothers, Cotton Wade and wife Maxine of Iuka, Mackey Wade and wife Margaret of Fulton; sister, Vonceil Enlow of Kevil, Ken.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oren L. Wade; mother, Hester Armstrong Wade; stepmother, Raydee McBride Wade; brothers, Doyle Wade, Jim Wade, Harold Dean Wade, Joseph Darrell Wade and Infant Wade and his sister, Myra Underwood. Magnolia Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Mr. Hoyt Wade.

Mary Ella Cummings Herring

Mary Ella Cummings Herring, 70, passed away from this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, surrounded by the family that she loved so much.

Mary was born on May 25, 1950, at the family home in Booneville, to the late Clarence and Kirksey Cummings. Mary attended Jumpertown High School as a member of the Class of 1968. Mary’s main love and true happiness came from her family. She was so proud of her daughter Jennifer and son JJ Herring. Her love and devotion to her family continued on to her grandchildren, Brandon, Drew, Clay and Allie Grace and great-grandchildren, Tucker, Eli, and Tyler. Mary would light up bright any time any family member walked through the door including long-time friend Frankie “brother” Perrigo. Mary looked forward most to the times the family would get together to have cookouts and special occasions where they all were together.

If Mary loved you, you knew it, without a doubt. In Mary’s pastime, she loved watching the news and talking politics where she would talk for hours about current events and Donald Trump. She spent her days talking on the phone with her best friend, Emogene English. Mary’s favorite holiday was Christmas where she loved to watch the faces of all those she loved open presents she had bought them. During her last year of life, Mary would sit in her favorite recliner watching the video picture frame of her family and every time she got a new picture she would have to show everyone.

Services were held at 6 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2021, in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. David English and Jeff Herring officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Herring Hoch of Booneville; her son, JJ Herring (Lorrie) of Booneville; her grandchildren, Brandon Herring (Jayme), Drew Herring, Clay Herring and Allie Grace Herring; her great-grandchildren, Tucker Herring, Eli Johnson and Tyler Johnson; her sister, Shirley Henderson (Halford); her brothers, Jerry Cummings and Roy Cummings (Ginner); her sister-in-law, Linda Cummings and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Kirksey Littrell Cummings; her siblings, Francis Essary, Billy Cummings, Jessie Cummings and Harold Cummings.

Pallbearers were; Eli Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Ashley White, Joe Gilley, JT Herring and Scotty Cummings.

Terry Lane Pounds

Terry Lane Pounds, 64, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at his home in New Site.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Terry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty Pounds of New Site; his sons, Terry Shane Pounds of New Site and Mitchell Pounds (Jennifer) of New Site; his daughters, Carol Harling (Billy) of Altitude, Jessica Pounds of New Site and Angela Holland of Mich.; his brother, Eric Pounds (Kathleen) of Booneville; his sisters, Debra Wildmon of Marietta and Teresa Pounds of Baldwyn; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Eula Mae Pounds and his brother, Wayne Pounds.

Tony Griffith

Tony Griffith, 57, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at his home in Booneville.

He enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, basketball and football, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Ole Miss fan.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sharon Griffith of Booneville; his son, Jeff Windham (Kellie) of Booneville; his sister, Edith Blaylock (Gerald) of Booneville; his brothers, Bobby Griffith of Booneville, Billy Griffith (Michelle) of Fla., and Ricky Griffith of Booneville and his grandchildren, Mathew, Ethan and Olivia Windham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H J and Lear Griffith, two brothers and two sisters.

There will be no service at this time.

Cathy Dale Holland Alexander

Cathy Dale Holland Alexander, 65, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, on her 65th birthday, at her home in Burnsville.

She was a member of Charity Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking, going out to eat, going to church and spending time with her family.

Services are 2 p.m., Saturday, May 15, 2021, in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Clifton and Bro. Terry Booker officiating. Visitation will be 11-2 Saturday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Snowdown Church of Christ Cemetery.

Cathy is survived by her daughters, Mary Putt (Richard) of Saltillo and Cindy Alexander of Burnsville; her brothers, Doyle Holland (Tammy) of Burnsville and Dolan McCoy (Pat) of IL; her grandchildren, Alex Putt (Sky) of Booneville and Austin Putt (Kimberly) of Saltillo and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alta and Fate Holland; her grandparents, Gordon and Mary Lou Woodruff; 1 sister and 7 brothers.

Pallbearers are; John David Holland, Chase Mitchell, Dean McCoy, Steve McCoy, Patrick Holland and Tim McCoy.
