Deputy Retires

Prentiss County deputy retires
Tuesday, March 2, the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department recognized Deputy Sheriff Gary Garrett during his retirement gathering.
Garrett has been with the Sheriff’s Department for around 2 1/2 years after leaving the Tupelo Police Department and having worked previously at the Saltillo Police Department. Many friends, family and co-workers both past and present helped wish him a blessed retirement.
“Gary is an outstanding Officer and our Department benefited from his service. He is certified as a trainer in a variety of Law Enforcement Training needs. He is our Firearms Instructor and Certifies our Department in Firearms Qualification each year. Gary will return in a part-time capacity within the next several months,” said Sheriff Randy Tolar who presented him with a plaque in honor of his service.
“Gary became a valuable part of our law enforcement family and we look forward to working with him in the future.”
