American Legion Meets
American Legion Post, located on American Legion Street in Booneville, will meet Tuesday, January 5th at 6:30 p.m. American Legion meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. All members are invited.
VFW Post 4877 and Auxiliary, located on Loveless Road in Booneville, will meet Thursday, January 7th at 6 p.m. VFW meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. All members are invited. Anyone eligible to join is always welcome to attend.
Free Community Meal
Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial of Booneville will host a free community hotdog meal this Friday, December 11, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the historic Booneville Hardware building in downtown Booneville. Carryout plates including hotdogs and trimmings will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday at the hardware building.
Cash Express has partnered with Prentiss Baptist Association for our 16th annual toy coat drive. Cash express is accepting gently used or new clothes in all sizes, used or new toys and canned goods.
Drop off can be made at any cash express location and/or any drop box that is spotted around town at local businesses. We will have a Fill the Fire Truck event on Friday December 11 from 5-6:30pm. Donations can be dropped of then as well. We will have Santa in town for the event to take pictures with as well as hot chocolate and cookies.
Picture with Santa is $2 or donate a toy or canned good. Hot chocolate and cookie will be available for purchase for $2. All money donated will go towards the toy and coat drive.
Siloam Road and New Site Christmas Parade
Siloam Road and New Site Fire Department will host its first Christmas ParadeSaturday December 12th at 10:30 am the line up will be at county road 4170 (Victoria Pharr’s old store place) it will continue from there to Hwy 4 that will give 5.5 miles of social distancing for families to see the parade. Santa will be on the truck for all the kiddos to see.
