The following quotes are supposedly by comedian Will Rogers, and since someone shared them with me, I felt the need to “pay it forward.” Surely someone out there (like Steen Dalton) needs a laugh today.

Never slap a man who’s chewing tobacco.

Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.

There are two theories to arguing with a woman – neither works.

Never miss a good chance to shut up.

Always drink upstream from the herd.

If you find yourself in a hole, quit digging.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

If you’re ridin’ ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it’s still there.

Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier’n puttin’ it back!

Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Too many people spend money they haven’t earned, to buy things they don’t want, to impress people they don’t like.

Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your family parrot to the town gossip.

We can’t all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.

Everyone is ignorant, only on different subjects.

The more you observe politics, the more you’ve got to admit that each party is worse than the other.

After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. Moral: When you’re full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

Have a great weekend.
