Genell King

BOONEVILLE – Funeral services for Genell King, 81, is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Martin Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. King died May 19, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Born in Dyersburg, Tenn., on December 9, 1935 to Clyde Lowell Loyd and Mary Velma Serratt, she was a member of Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Chester “Cotton” King of Booneville; three daughters, Cynthia Sparks (Kenny) of New Site, Sharon McCombs (Randy) of New Site and Rhonda Whitley (Jack) of Cherokee, Ala.; three sons, Don King (Dianne) of Booneville, Bob King of Forest City, Ark., and Jason King (Sandy) of Corinth; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Clyde Loyd, Gerald Loyd and James Loyd.

Jack Whitley and Randy McCombs will officiate and Matthew Pharr will conduct the graveside service.

Brenda Crum

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A service to celebrate the life of Brenda Crum, 76, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Crum died May 18, 2017 at her residence in Memphis. She was born on February 24, 1941 to the late J.W. and Viola Hall Bridges. She was a graduate of Corinth High School and State Technical Institute. In her professional career, she was a computer programmer for Malone and Hyde, Fed Ex and International Paper Co.

She is survived by her husband, A.C. Crum and son, Ronnie Crum of Memphis; and two brothers, Sam and Tommy Bridges.

Bro. George Kyle will officiate.

Matilda Hooper

BOONEVILLE – Funeral services Matilda Jane Hooper, 52, was held Saturday at the Booneville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hooper died May 12, 2017, at her home in Glen. She was born in Prentiss County on October 18, 1964 to Noble Cleve and Margie Baswell Morgan. She worked as a sewing machine operator.

Survivors include two sons, Bradley Hooper (Mallory) of Glen and Todd Hooper (Tracey) of Cairo; two brothers, Rod Morgan (Angel) and Greg Morgan (Cynthia) both of Rienzi; one sister, Cindy Wiginton (Carol Huchenson) of Corinth; grandchildren, Joshua Hooper, Jacob Hooper, Jennifer Hooper, Kayden Villalobos, Kayson Hooper and Christian Prater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noble and Margie Morgan; brother, Bo Morgan; sisters, Judy Blassingame and Von Wright.

Bobby Voyles officiated the service.
