The track wasn’t dusty Saturday, but Ashley Newman left his fellow competitors in it.

Newman claimed the $2,000, 10-strong Limited Late Model event. There have been two $2,000 races held at the fastest high bank track in North Mississippi, with Newman claiming both purses.

Forty-three cars signed in Saturday at the North Mississippi Motor Park Speedway, with 36 starting the combined five events.

Other winners included Jackie Steele in Outlaw, Hunter Wilbanks in Mod Street, Hunter Whaley in 602/Stock Late Model and Roy Bedwell in Pure Street.

This weekend will include a $1,000 purse in the 602/Limited Late Model race.
