A Corinth man was charged Wednesday as an investigation of drug activity led to a search of his residence.

Gregory Sorrell, 37, of the Mid-Town Apartments at 1206 Childs Street, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Bond was set at $20,000.

The Alcorn Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant after complaints of large amounts of traffic led to an investigation of Sorrell, said Narcotics Investigator Jason Willis.

Officers found approximately a half pound of marijuana, digital scales and money.
