Saturday racing returned to the fastest high bank track in North Mississippi following a one-week holiday weekend hiatus.

Thirty-five signed in at North Mississippi Motor Park, with 33 racing in the feature on what was called a great night of racing.

Brandon Shaw, a former go-cart racer, was the week’s featured winner after he crossed over into dirt track racing by winning the Limited Late Model Class. It was actually Shaw’s second victory of the week, having previously welcomed a baby boy into the family.

Other Saturday winners by class included: Roy Bedwell in Pure Street, Jonathan Warnicke in Modified Street, and Todd Robinson in Outlaw, while Hunter Whaley claimed the 602/Stock Late Model.

This weekends agenda included $1000 to the winner of the 602 race.

The 600 sprints will take center stage on July 26, with another $1,000 winner.

Future big races are set in Pure Street and Outlaw. Also $2,000 will go to the future winner of the Limited Late Model/604 event.

More details will be released on those upcoming races.
