Corinth blanked Yazoo County 10-0 in the Class 4A playoffs, completing their series sweep. The Lady Warriors (17-9) won Game One 15-0 in four innings on Thursday.
The Lady Warriors will face Division 4 champion Kosciusko in the second round. That series in slatted for Monday and Tuesday.
In Class 1A, Biggersville went on the road and sweep Ray Brooks. The Lady Lions (15-11) opened with a 15-2 decision, the capped the day with a 20-4 win.
Biggersville will face Division 4 champion Smithville in second-round action on Monday and Tuesday.
Kossuth (12-11) had an opening-round bye and will face the Winona-South Pontotoc winner in second round action in Class 3A. South Pontotoc won Game One and the series was scheduled to be completed Friday in Winona.
• Corinth got a combined six-inning no-hitter from Colby Cox and McKenzie Patterson as the Lady Warriors won their sixth straight contest.
Patterson, Cox, Jamia Kirk and Allie Jacobs had two hits each in the six-inning contest.
